Wedding Tent with Liner and LMD Lighting

Wedding Tent with Liner and LMD Lighting

PRO EM Distinctive Events and LMD Productions recently partnered to create a truly beautiful and unique wedding for a private party.  There were 250 guests who enjoyed dinner, dancing and a wonderful evening in Denver.

PRO EM provided flooring, tenting, carpeting, ramping, stairs, picket fencing, dance floor and stage.  The custom floor was built level (with some points reaching 12′ from the ground), in just over a week, and a 20m x 55m Losberger structure was installed over the top of the floor.   The entire project took about 13 days to complete.

LMD Productions provided the exceptional décor and lighting as well as the pictures shown here.  The family provided a few pieces from their own heirloom collection.  This event was also featured by the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/08/fashion/weddings/08VOWS.html

PRO EM Design Center Open House Event

New showroom to make life easier for Scottsdale wedding and event planners

(NORTH SCOTTSDALE) August 17, 2010:  Event planners and wedding professionals in the Northeast Valley have a new set of best friends.  A private grand opening party last week at the new PRO EM Design Center brought out some of the biggest names in event planning, wedding services, catering and destination management.  Needless to say, industry pros are happy to have a new venue dedicated to the special events business right in their neighborhood.

“The PRO EM Design Center offers a comfortable place where planning professionals and their clients can visualize their event ideas – from the color of the linens to the china and glassware to the overall scope of the event,” said Brad Kramer, president and CEO of PRO EM. “Our new north Scottsdale showroom showcases our ability to provide a personalized experience to each of our clients, at the level of service they expect.”

Located near Kierland Commons and the Scottsdale corridor (15551 N. Greenway-Hayden Loop, Suite 110), the PRO EM Design Center features tabletop displays of a wide selection of china, flatware, glassware and chairs and an exclusive line of high-end specialty linens and chair covers from Wildflower Linen.  Planners can use the Center’s client consultation areas for production, site design and new client meetings or to browse online photo galleries for inspiration, review artistic renderings and access the Internet to view additional products.

“We’ve used PRO EM for events for a number of years, but having this design center in North Scottsdale adds a new level of convenience for us,” said Stacia Brocco, director of sales at Monterra at Westworld. “It’s closer to our venue and many of our favorite clients, and it has an amazing selection for everyone from the do-it-yourselfer to the industry professional.  I cannot wait to bring clients over!”

Event planner Amy Mancuso was pleased to see PRO EM reaching out to the wedding industry with the opening of the new Design Center. “Everything I need is now in one place and I can find what each client needs for their particular event right in one location,” said Mancuso, owner of Amy Mancuso Events. “There’s nothing else like this in Arizona!”

The PRO EM Design Center is open to the public Monday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, call 623-206-6177.

Former President Bill Clinton and Chelsea

Wedding trendwatchers are predicting a seismic shift for future weddings – from bright colors to a return to classic themes – all thanks to the Clinton-Mezvinsky nuptials this past weekend.  Hard to imagine one wedding tipping the entire planning industry, but now it’s everywhere, and trends always have to start somewhere.

At PRO EM, we love a good love story, but every wedding is as unique as its bride and groom.  You can have the experience you want for your day, down to the last detail.

Here is a back story for this monumental wedding as personalized by Roger Clinton.  Don’t know if it’s completely accurate, but it sure is sweet:  http://www.usmagazine.com/healthylifestyle/news/chelsea-clintons-wedding-not-a-dry-eye-in-the-house-201028.

Entertaining by the Numbers

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

When planning a wedding or party for the first time, it’s important to remember that entertaining is really a science.  Knowing how much coffee you need for 100 people (2 pounds), appetizers to serve (2-3 pieces per person, per hour) or pasta to have at the ready (3-4 oz as a side dish; 6-8 oz as the entree), is much less intimidating once you figure out the numbers.  Check out this helpful catering guide from the folks at giantfood.com:  http://www.giantfood.com/shop_online/preorder/catering_tips.htm.

PRO EM provides catering and tabletop support for every type of event, including tables, chairs, linens; china, glassware, flatware; tenting, fencing, portable power and restrooms; and personnel services such as valet and security guards.  We are a one-stop shop event production company.

Outdoor Weddings are IN…

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Industry sources are reporting an increase in outdoor weddings.  Couples are splurging and saving alike to create the backyard atmosphere, even at resorts and wedding venues.  Brides and Planners are incorporating customized lighting, tents that double as lounge areas and vintage accessories to make the special day feel personal and intimate.

Also incorporated into the latest trends… organic elements such as grass, sand and yes, dirt for the “natural chic” look; exquisite versus gaudy; and bright, bright colors.  Using the outdoors can provide many more opportunities for personal touches and the all-important “wow factor.”   Brides are using tents, mismatched chairs, lighted balloons and custom logos–hopefully not at the same wedding.

Gingerbread Man Cake

Holiday Wedding Featuring A Gingerbread Man Cake

Special Events magazine is featuring 10 years’ worth of award winning weddings, including breathtaking images and interesting details.  The spread includes submittals for the Gala Award, the magazine’s highest prize.

Each wedding highlights recognizable favorites from a baseball stadium to an ornately decorated ballroom.  There are also a few surprises, such as the outdoors Parisian living room and the Christmas themed wedding with a Gingerbread man wedding cake (shown above).

All of the weddings have a central theme–personal touches and declarations from the bride and groom.  When planning your wedding, it’s always possible to stay within tradition and under budget; all while saying something to your guests about who you are and where you hail from.
