PRO EM Celebrates POR's Milestone

Lynne Law, inventory manager; Tora Pasesa, VP admin and quality control; and Brad Kramer, president and CEO present POR 1,200 Cake

A rental company is only as good as its inventory management and PRO EM recently enlisted the leader in rental management software, Point of Rental, to manage its Phoenix, Tucson and Denver locations, as well as the company’s vast party, tabletop, wedding and equipment deliverables.

Point of Rental (POR) and PRO EM both recently had something to celebrate–the launch of POR at PRO EM and PRO EM is the 1,200th POR customer.   This calls for cake!!

Point of Rental was created by rental industry professionals to provide a reliable, flexible and accurate alternative to the previous industry norm of DOS-based and error-plagued systems.  POR provided company wide training and support and provided integration guidance from the old system to the new system.

Former President Bill Clinton and Chelsea

Former President Bill Clinton and Chelsea

Wedding trendwatchers are predicting a seismic shift for future weddings – from bright colors to a return to classic themes – all thanks to the Clinton-Mezvinsky nuptials this past weekend.  Hard to imagine one wedding tipping the entire planning industry, but now it’s everywhere, and trends always have to start somewhere.

At PRO EM, we love a good love story, but every wedding is as unique as its bride and groom.  You can have the experience you want for your day, down to the last detail.

Here is a back story for this monumental wedding as personalized by Roger Clinton.  Don’t know if it’s completely accurate, but it sure is sweet:  http://www.usmagazine.com/healthylifestyle/news/chelsea-clintons-wedding-not-a-dry-eye-in-the-house-201028.

Outdoor Weddings are IN…

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Industry sources are reporting an increase in outdoor weddings.  Couples are splurging and saving alike to create the backyard atmosphere, even at resorts and wedding venues.  Brides and Planners are incorporating customized lighting, tents that double as lounge areas and vintage accessories to make the special day feel personal and intimate.

Also incorporated into the latest trends… organic elements such as grass, sand and yes, dirt for the “natural chic” look; exquisite versus gaudy; and bright, bright colors.  Using the outdoors can provide many more opportunities for personal touches and the all-important “wow factor.”   Brides are using tents, mismatched chairs, lighted balloons and custom logos–hopefully not at the same wedding.

Positive Changes Evident at Rental Show in Orlando

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

As the equipment rental industry convenes in Orlando, Fla., for the 54th annual The Rental Show this week, the just-released results of the American Rental Association’s (ARA) Fourth Quarter 2009 Economic Survey show a renewed optimism among ARA members for a better 2010.

Business picked up with more activity in booths and in aisles on the trade show floor on Tuesday at The Rental Show in Orlando, Fla., an obvious change in attitude was evident among attendees and exhibitors. “It seems much more intense on the show floor with more traffic. People are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are more positive,” said Mike Flesher, Taylor Rental Center, Vestal, N.Y. “I like the new format and I like the smaller show floor. It’s more compact, but it’s still, ‘Wow, look at all this stuff’ when you see the exhibits for the first time.”

Various other vendors also reported good traffic as well as more requests for credit this year when last year more people were selling assets to maintain cash flow.
