Dine with Your Dog – Woof, Wine and Dine!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

The third annual Dine with Your Dog event was held last Saturday and PRO EM was there to help with the tables, chairs, linens, generators and staging.  The event was held in the backyard of a private residence in Central Phoenix and guests–both human and canine–enjoyed gourmet treats, a fabulous dinner and a doggie couture fashion show.

Dine with Your Dog was created to raise awareness and funds for the Animal-Assisted Therapy program of Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  Thirty dogs and their owners comprise an amazing team of caregivers that provide much-appreciated theraputic attention and love to critically ill children.

Guests are encouraged to bring their well-behaved pooches, pose for portraits with their pets and get all “stage mom” by entering their dog in the “Best Dressed Dog” contest.  Competition was fierce, yet friendly, and everyone who attended and contributed was a winner.

Creativity, Imagination and Uniqueness

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Creativity, Imagination and Uniqueness is the tagline for the Phoenix Film Festival, the largest film festival in Arizona.  The festival will be held  April 8-15 at the Harkins Cine Capri in Scottsdale and will feature the finest in independent films from around the world; movie-making workshops, panels and education; and did we mention the parties??

This is the Phoenix Film Festival’s 10th year and it has grown steadily thanks to quality films, community support and with the help of vendors such as PRO EM.  Celebrities such as Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgewick, Laurence Fishburne and Jayne Seymour have attended in previous years to promote their work.  They also come to party.  The Phoenix Film Festival is a great opportunity to see excellent films and mingle with the stars and professionals who make those films possible.

Look for the big white tent off of the Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road, next to the Harkins Cine Capri.   Tickets are on sale now and you can see the schedule at: www.phxfilm.org.

“Ryan House will improve Cloey’s quality of life by giving her stimulation and an enjoyable destination,” say Ty and Megan Gibson, parents of one of Ryan House’s children.

Planning Your Wedding: Make it PERSONAL

Friday, March 19th, 2010

More and more, brides are taking control of their wedding plans and moving away from the traditional rites that dictated the perfect celebration.  Wedding planners and trend-watchers are reporting interesting variations on the old standards, such as non-linear aisles, three-dimensional Save-The-Date reminders and embossing invitations to match the color of the wedding or even the texture of the bride’s gown.

“Bringing your unique wedding inspirations to life is as exciting as it is essential when creating the ‘wow’-factor,” said Stacie Francombe, founder and CEO of Get Married, a tri-media wedding  lifestyle platform for passionate brides. “We encourage brides to be bold and adventurous, infusing the elements and styles that excite them in life in this momentous lifecycle occasion.”

PRO EM is a personalization resource for all kinds of brides and planners–from creating the ultimate vision of a grand wedding a reality; to an intimate, backyard celebration for friends and family.  The ability to get the tent, dance floor, sound system, cobalt blue linens, high-end restrooms and monogrammed glasses and chairs are all right here… under one roof.

Flogging Molly Rocks Tempe Beach Park

Flogging Molly Rocks Tempe Beach Park

The Irish band Flogging Molly took the stage last night at Tempe Beach Park and the PRO EM purple shirts were there to manage the security for the crowd of 8,000. Gates opened at 4p and the last patrons were cleared out by 10:30p.

Despite the large crowd and the volumes of green beer, very few incidents occurred and the concert-goers enjoyed a memorable evening of clear, cool weather and excellent music.
